Web upgrade – better site, better access

Website revamp

Some of you may have noticed a few changes on the website — nothing huge to report, but hopefully it will be easier to find exactly what you’re looking for without too much messing about.

Readers using Nook, Apple Books and Kobo e-readers (plus paperbacks) should be able to find their books more easily, and book links will generally go straight to the stores where you can buy them, rather than dwelling on additional explanative pages on my site.

Non-Kindle readers

And with the easier access to Nook, Apple Books, Kobo and paperback titles, I’ve been working on getting a fuller range of my stories available on those platforms. In future, I’ll aim to be a little better at providing stories for non-Amazon and Amazon readers alike!

I’m also putting my stories back on the Smashwords market, for those who use Smashwords. I’m not sure how many readers that will help, but I think broader access is better than limiting access.

Most of my stories that are long enough are now available as paperbacks — including The Game, which was never available before, and my new story Obsessive. In future I’m hoping I’ll be able to put new stories straight out as paperbacks on or around the first date of publication for the ebooks.

Free books

For those of you with a Nook, Apple Books or Kobo account, you’ll now be able to get the book “Madeleine Wakes” for free. If you haven’t read it already, it’s the first in the Madeleine Trilogy.

Speaking of free, I’ve also made two additional books available for free for those of you signed up to my mailing list. I’ve changed the system so that there is a dedicated, password-protected page where you’ll be able to download your free ebooks whenever you need, rather than having to search through your email inbox for the file link.

I’ll send out a password with the next email alert, but if you’re desperate for it, send me an email and I’ll let you know it ASAP.

So, hopefully all that will improve your access to my stories, in one way or another. If you find it difficult to access my stories, let me know! Meanwhile, my writing continues on apace, with plenty of ideas up my sleeve. Obsessive Book 2 should be available in November, with the third book in that trilogy by the end of the year if all goes well. I’ll let you know about other stories as they arise!
